Born 1985 in Banovići in Bosnia and Herzegovina where Sanela also attended primary school. She finished School of applied arts in Sarajevo with painting as major and after that enrolled to Academy of fine arts in Sarajevo with sculpture as her new major where she is currently on the last year of the studies.
Since high school Sanela has been illustrating books for children. Children illustration has developed into her favorite preoccupation. She has, since high school, illustrated numerous books for children as well as illustrations for children magazines in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
