Banovići, a small town in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is where Sanela greq up and attended attended primary school. Since she discovered that drawing and making different things were her favorite things to do at a young age Sanela moved to Sarajevo so she could attend School of applied arts with painting as her major. During high school Sanela discovered children illustrations while commissioned by a local publishing company. Since then Sanela has been making children illustration for various school books, children books and children magazines.
After high school was over Sanela enrolled to Academy of fine arts in Sarajevo with sculpture as her new major as she wanted to be able to make other stuff besides those on paper.
Since high school Sanela has been illustrating books for children. Children illustration has developed into her favorite preoccupation. She has, since high school, illustrated numerous books for children as well as illustrations for children magazines in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
